This
program documents the experiments of
Dr.
William Mason, Director of Animal Behavior
Studies
at the Delta Primate Research Center
(supported by the National Institute of
Health) in Covington, Louisiana.
The
Chimpanzee is compared to man -
physically, mentally and, most
particularly, in early social behavior.
Dr.
Mason's experiments isolate some
of the significant patterns of the young
chimp's social behavior and shed new
light on the evolutionary aspects of
early human behavior.
Dr.
Mason is now a professor at UC Davis -
in the Pshychology Department.
